Robert Graves became one of the toughest and most respected leaders when rugby league started in 1908.

Captain Robert coached Balmain for several years and undoubtedly instilled toughness and a will to win into the club. Robert went on to become one of Australia’s first Kangaroos and played every game with a will to win, whether at the club, state, or national level.
