COMO HOTEL – COMO
The original Como Hotel was destroyed by fire however the rebuild has maintained the iconic place in the Sutherland Shires history. Starting life as a club built by German rail workers, fisherman, timber getters, oyster farmers and tradesmen of all types the club struggled financially after the relocation of the rail workers in 1885 to Waterfall who worked on the Como rail bridge. Licensed in 1890 as a hotel it began its life as a meeting place for all and established itself as one of the Sutherland Shires most iconic hotels. Presented as a 29 x 51 cm piece, numbered, signed and with framing options for the buyer. Limited to 41 copies also available in a two pub set “Como Pubs” from Australian History Art.
