DESCRIPTION

Two men share the honor of being the greatest scorer in a single game for the Balmain RLFC. The first is Frank Driese, a hardened country player enticed to Sydney by Balmain in 1942. From the NSW North Coast, Frank was tough and uncompromising in defense and gave no quarter. He was the linchpin for success at several country rugby league clubs. After three years at Balmain, Frank returned to the NSW country and plied his trade as Captain Coach with success. A tough, quiet, respected man in any company who would be welcome at any rugby league club, he had the game of his life in 1944.
