DESCRIPTION
At the Rugby League foundation, Glebe RLFC was a leader in performance, joined by Frank Burge in 1911, who became one of the greatest forwards to play the game of rugby league in Australia. Frank was awarded just about every award that a single player could win. A first-grade player at 16 and a NSW player at 18, listed as Kangaroo number 88, he led by example and played 16 seasons with Glebe. An outstanding man and competitor in every level of rugby league, he was a demon defender and had the game of his life in 1920, scoring an incredible 8 tries.
