Two men share the honor of being the greatest scorer in a single game for the Balmain RLFC; one is Keith Barnes, one of the most decorated Rugby League players to have played the game in Australia. Born in Wales, his family made their way to Wollongong in NSW, where Keith was an outstanding young player with the Wollongong club. Signed by Balmain, it was almost 20 years apart when Keith equaled the game-high record of points in a 1st-grade game of Frank Driese. Not a big man, Keith possessed extraordinary skills on the field, making him a giant amongst men. It is an honor to have a print of Keith Barnes mounted on any wall, whether in a club, office, or home.
