The Captains 1908 Artwork
The Captains 1908 Artwork
DESCRIPTION
The most significant piece of Australian Rugby League history is available. The game of rugby league was led by these nine men in 1908 at personal cost. They lived with threats and pressed on, leading the birth of rugby league in Australia. This product depicts the strength and fortitude of these men and reinforces the effort of the foundation clubs. There are two men here, almost unknown to the rugby league world, and it contains the only known photograph of Harry Bloomfield, the captain of Cumberland in Australia, held by Australian History Art.
PRINT SIZE
The Captain’s print is sized at 88 x 66 cm. The acrylic UV-blocking sheet, instead of glass, protects the product from deterioration.
